Safety Regulations, Reporting Misconduct, and Teacher Qualification Requirements

Safety is a paramount at Piaget Academy. We uphold the highest standards to ensure your child’s safety. In an effort to ensure a clean and disease-free environment, we make sure to stay up-to-date on the proper mitigation strategies, based on guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our school is monitored daily through twenty four surveillance cameras located at the main entrance, classrooms, and playground. The main entrance has a security system that requires parents to enter an access code. Visitors must ring the door bell and be let in by a member of the staff. We also adhere to DCF and NAC Health & Safety Regulation.
All employees and administrators have an obligation to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student. Examples of misconduct include obscene language, drug and alcohol use, disparaging comments, prejudice or bigotry, sexual innuendo, cheating or testing violations, physical aggression, and accepting or offering favors. Reports of misconduct of employees should be made to Piaget Academy’s Administration. Reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to Department of Child and Family (DCF) . Legally sufficient allegations of misconduct by Florida certified educators will be reported to the Office of Professional Practices Services. Policies and procedures for reporting misconduct by instructional personnel or school Administrators, which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student, are posted in teacher’s handbook and on our website.
